The POSSE is designed to perform the following tests:
- Black Light - highlights fluorescence or lack or fluorescence in paper, document, and/or security strip.
- Back Light - highlights translucent features (watermark, security strip) and cuts, erasures, tape, and glue.
- Top Light - provided illumination directly onto top surface of article to be examined for detail and magnification.
- Both Lights (Back and Top) - provides translucent features during magnification.
- Magnification:
- Top Lens - enables observation of enlarged document
- Bottom Lens - enables observation of individual fibers in material, micro-print and intaglio print line structure.
